New Career Fulfillment through Real Estate Sales (Or How to Be in the Right Market at the Right Time)

We've all heard the expression "buy low, sell high". But why is it that we feel trepidation, that old self-doubt, when we are about to enter a new enterprise such as starting a new career? Well, for the brave and forward-thinking, this is not only the right time to buy a home, this is the right time to enter a career in real estate. You see, when markets are hot, they are flooded with new real estate licensees who are there for the short term, the wind fall. They are the "order-takers", those without the qualities necessary to run their own business and grow their own level of success. Fortunately, for the professional realtor as well as the consumer, the attrition rate today among "order-takers" is high, leaving the prepared, adaptable and industrious agents, including new entry level agents, to succeed in an industry where too few truly adept professionals remain. So, in the same vein of "buy low, sell high", come into real estate sales now while a low market is beginning to see bottom.

As a former educator, I entered real estate sales for entrepreneurial fulfillment, hard to achieve in a salaried position with only modest steps to income advancement. Once in real estate, I witnessed, in awe, the financial success of my new colleagues. I knew, even as a rookie, that I possessed the same inherent abilities, however untapped and unrefined, as they. With the proper training and company support, I eventually grew from a successful sales associate into the role I have today coaching real estate agents, much like myself, who transitioned from another industry to an independent real estate sales career to be financially rewarded in direct proportion to their skill level. Let me guide you, as I have guided, nurtured and grown the careers of countless real estate salespeople. – Annette DeCicco
