The biggest investment you will make other than raising your children is buying a home.
We all need a place to live and the decision is broken down to 2 basic choices; to own or to rent.
There are benefits in both.
I have owned homes since I was 21 years and only rented 2 times in my life.
If you want a place to call your own, have a budget in place and stable employment then home ownership is the wiser choice over renting. This is not a yes or no question since all of us have different needs, economic strengths or weaknesses and the human need of having a place to call 'home'.
Yes, it is a good time to buy with low interest rates, lower prices and of course a bigger inventory to choose from.
No, it is not a good time to by if you are expecting a huge rise in home prices, can not afford home ownership and do not have a good budget in place.
Renting gives you a landlord and less responsibility, where as is in ownership, the home you buy will be more of a foundation for your family, life and future.
Whatever you choose; make your decision wisely and upon what your heart guides you to do.
Best of health and decision making to all.
