Possible New Jersey State Homebuyer Tax Credit Needs Swift ApprovalOn May 13, 2010, the NJ Assembly Appropriations Committee and the NJ Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee approved A-1678/S-692 with amendments. This legislation would create a home buyer tax credit program in New Jersey during the remainder of 2010. Note that the bill still needs approval by the full NJ Assembly and NJ Senate, and then Governor Christie would need to sign ...

There is still plenty of life in the real estate market after the end of Federal Tax Credits! The expiration of the 2010 Home Buyer Tax Credits on April 30 is unlikely to put off Americans looking to purchase homes who believe now is a good time to buy and are confident that home prices will rise according to a survey released by Prudential Real Estate and Relocation Services, Inc., a Prudential Financial, Inc. company. The survey of 1,000 Americans between the ages of 25-64 with at least $35,000 ...

Also that title on the property must closed before 07/01/2010. There also is a tax credit available for a home buyer who is a qualified "long-time resident of the same main home". That tax credit ...

Are you ready to buy or sell a home in 2010?Whether you are planning to buy a home or sell one, this is a great time to get ready.
Traditionally around Thanksgiving through early March starts the "slow time" of the year for Real Estate Professionals. This year looks to be VERY different as buyers want to start looking at homes again, so they can get "under contract" before the end of April, 2010 and close title before ...

It is still a great time to buy a home!!The clock has been reset and is ticking again. I am talking about the time to qualify for the new home buyers $8,000 tax credit, or the new tax credit of $6,500 for buyers of homes who are not first time buyers but have lived in their present home for at least 5 of the last 8 years. Add to that home mortgage interest at record low rates and a great selection ...

Please support extending and expanding the Home BuyerTax CreditThe U.S. Senate will be voting soon on a bill that would extend the Home Buyer Tax credit into the middle of 2010, and also broaden several eligibility requirements regarding income and prior home ownership. This bill makes good sense for the economy and for home buying in general.
A person still must be a qualified borrower in order to get a loan. However ...

There is still time to buy and get a tax credit! What are you waiting for? If you are thinking of buying a home, and have not owned one in the past 3 years, you probably qualify as a first time home buyer and may be eligible for a tax credit of up to $8,000. But you must close title by November 30, 2009 to be eligible. So why wait? It takes time to select a home, and a good 60 days to close title. ...

Buying at the "Right Time"We always want to buy things at the "Right Time". Whether a car, a new dress, or an airline ticket, we all love a bargain. But what does that mean to you when looking to buy a home? When is the right time?
The answer is really quite simple. The right time to buy is when YOU are ready, willing and able to buy. It is NOT when the price is the absolute lowest (the only time ...

Get your new home while supplies last! How often have we heard the term - "Get such and such while supplies last" or "Quantities are limited...buy now while supplies last"? Well the same may be said about the current housing inventory situation in our area. The record number of homes available for purchase will not last forever. As a matter of fact, the number of months supply of homes has ...

Better yet, you may not have to wait to file your 2009 tax return in 2010 to get the credit money.
If you have not yet filed your 2008 return, but requested an extension until October 15, 2009 to do so, you may be ...

Lets get the Real Story about the New Jersey Real Estate MarketHave you had it with all the negative media emphasis about the economy, housing, consumer confidence and such? There is a very well known cliche about news media that states: "If it bleeds...it reads!". The problem develops, however, that the perception about a situation can soon become the reality. For example, if enough people hear that consumer confidence is low, consumers ...

How is the real estate market? Many folks have been asking me the question "how is the housing market?" The best and most accurate answer to "how is the real estate market" is "that depends - are you buying or selling...renting or investing?" One's perspective is key. If one were buying a first home right now, or selling and looking at an upgrade to buy a bigger home, they would be in a great ...

Hey Mom and Dad... ARE WE THERE YET?Remember the question we asked our parents when going on a trip or a long drive - are we there yet? That's the same question that my kids asked me when they were growing up.
Well, I get somewhat the same question now from real estate clients, both sellers and buyers, regarding the real estate market - are we there yet? Have we reached bottom? For buyers, the question ...

Is this the "Perfect Storm" of Real Estate? Can you believe it? Mortgage interest rates this week fell back below 5% again. This rate drop, along with lower home prices, a great selection of available homes, and a variety of incentive packages being offered by local, state and federal agencies make this a "Perfect Storm" for home buying. If you are thinking about buying or selling a home, or have any questions ...
