Spring is arriving early this year!!I know it sounds crazy with the cold weather and biting winds we are having lately, but believe me when I say that Spring has arrived! That is the Spring Market in Real Estate I am talking about. Sellers and buyers are already taking steps to take advantage of the extended and expanded Home Buyer Tax Credits that went into effect late last year. Now, not only First Time Home Buyers can get an $8,000 tax credit, but most buyers who are existing home owners who are selling their home and buying another may qualify as well for a $6,500 tax credit. The key date to keep in mind is FRIDAY, APRIL 30, 2010. It is by that date that a buyer must have a "Binding Contract" on a home. In New Jersey that means you must be completed with Attorney Review by that date. Then you must also close title on the home purchase by June 30, 2010. That means there is a little more than 16 weeks from today to get out there and find a home, negotiate a deal and get through attorney review!! That is why Buyers are starting NOW to look for a home to buy, and Sellers are getting their homes ready to put on the market.
